Junji Ito Style
The style
A meticulously detailed horror-manga illustration style built on dense, obsessive fine linework and cross-hatching that renders skin, hair, and texture with unsettling hyper-precision, ordinary human forms twisted into spiraling, biologically wrong distortions and body horror, stark black-and-white contrast with pools of inky shadow swallowing the edges of the frame, wide unblinking eyes carrying quiet dawning dread, and a slow-building, deeply unsettling atmosphere of cosmic horror seeping into mundane settings. Influenced by: Junji Ito, Tomie and Uzumaki manga art, body-horror illustration, ink cross-hatching technique.
